Icelandic Secret Service? 30. júní 2006 10:30 Björn Bjarnason dómsmálaráðherra Björn Bjarnason, Minister of Justice is hoping that Parliament (Alþingi) will commence talks about founding a secret service next term. If this would be done it would entail European specialists who would train 25-30 men; these men would then have the right to tap phones, deploy surveillance and information gathering to deter terrorist acts and organized crime. If this would be made into a bill and passed the National Security Section would be employed under the Justice Department through the Chief of Police.
