Mesmerized by the solar eclipse: Perfect conditions in Iceland

People gathered near Perlan, the University of Iceland, Harpa and Hallgrímskirkja to watch the solar eclipse this morning. Vísir’s photographers, Pjetur Sigurðsson and Vilhelm Gunnarsson, went around Reykjavík taking spectacular pictures that you can see in the gallery above.

The solar eclipse was filmed from the rooftop of the 365 building in Reykjavík, were the offices of Vísir are located. You can see a video of the entire solar eclipse below. The video has been sped up so you can see the entire eclipse in 10 minutes.
