Icelandic singer Ásgeir did not drink any alcohol during his tour in Australia, but his tour was a great success, critically acclaimed, and his song King and Cross, was chosen as one of the top ten songs at a well known radio station. "During this last tour, I didn't drink any alcohol and it was great. Then you're more "on it", you get a better sleep and exercise more. But there is always plenty of booze available wherever you go during those tours," he says in an interview with the newsroom. He says that he tries to lead a healthy live, but it may prove difficult when you are constantly on tour. "I began an effort on the last Australian tour. I try to exercise each day and I enjoy working out. The most difficult thing about it is calculating the day, when you've got time. You need to find a gym at your present location." Last year was a very busy touring year for Ásgeir and he expects 2015 to be the same. He will travel around the US and Australia and hold concerts. "Otherwise, this year will be a very busy one. We will take this US tour with Hozier, then we'll come home and stay there for two months and then go again with alt-Ju." Ásgeir has enchanted the Australian audience and the critics. The radio station Triple J held an election of the top songs of the year 2014. Ásgeir Trausti was number ten on the list with the song King and Cross. Two millions listeners of that radio station, operated by the state, participated in the election. Ásgeir has also received good reviews for his performance at the concert in Australia. He held a concert in the beginning of January in the famous concert hall Sydney Opera House. The Australian press has been giving him a positive review.
