Kronkron one of seven coolest shops in the world 14. ágúst 2006 10:21 Opnunarteiti Kron Sælgætisgerðin eigendur „We are very happy about this great honour," says Magni Þorsteinsson who owns Kronkron with Hugrún Árnadóttir. Kronkron was chosen one of the seven coolest stores in the world in the Danish fashion magazine Eurowoman. The article claims that Kronkron is leading in Icelandic fashion and lifestyle. Kronkron is also said to be a like a candystore where every piece gets their space and is appealing for the customer. Kronkron is put in a category with some of the world's most known fashion stores such as Barneys in New York, Colette in Paris and 10 Corso Como in Milan. It is a great honour that an Icelandic design store should be put on the same list. „We are now at the Fashion Week in Copenhagen and people have been congratulating us," says Magni. „Of course, this means a lot to us and will make our lives easier when we are trying to get new labels in our store. Instead of us running after the labels, the labels now approach us and want their pieces in Kronkron." Kronkron is only two years old and started as a small shop on Laugavegur, but relocated last spring to a bigger space on Vitastígur, corner of Laugavegur. New and exciting stuff is coming to Kronkron in the near future.
