Accident

This morning an ice cave collapsed at Hrafntinnusker killing one person. Hrafntinnusker is close to Laugavegur, a common hiking trail. His fellow hikers called for assistance when the cave collapsed, they believed the man was trapped inside the cave. However, when they reached the man he was deceased. The hikers reached the man before the rescuers arrived, and the Coast Guard helicopter was turned around. The rescuers will carry the body to the closest urban area on foot.
