Árni Finnsson, chairman of Iceland Nature Conservation Association, claims that the Minister of Industry kept vital information, from the public and congress, on the geological issues of the Kárahnjúkar dam, during the time the Kárahnjúkar bill was discussed and passed in congress. Grímur Björnsson, geophysicist, spoke for the first time publicly about a report he wrote in 2002 and was now realeased for the first time. Björnsson has considerable worries about cracks in the earth underneath the dam and at the bottom of Hálslón lagoon. Björnsson was prohibited by his superiors to speak about the report in public.
